Default R.I.P Kenny McKinley

Kenny McKinley

You accomplished SO much in your life and you were only 23. You were living THE dream and were in the NFL, playing for the Broncos. I know people have problems, but taking your life was NOT the answer!

You will be missed very much by so many people. I remember back in High School in weight training when you'd motivate me to keep pushing myself harder and harder. You were well known in High School and I can proudly say we were once friends. We had so many classes together-- heck, we even had numerous lunch periods together. You were a funny person and always made people smile-- you were even greater as an athlete! My thoughts go out for you and your family.

R.I.P, brother.

Wow, you actually KNEW him? I am very sorry for your loss... And indeed, my condolences to his family and friends. Especially to his child.

Yes, I used to know him personally. He was truly an incredible guy. I also knew De’Andre Adams (he was also from my graduating class from South Cobb High School and we had several classes together, as well), and unfortunately he is also dead (he lost control of his car and died in a wreck).

That's 2 people who were becoming HUGE who both died that I personally knew. Life is too short.

Sorry to hear that you know him JB. I'm a Broncos fan (grew up in south Denver), so there have been a few players who left before their time recently.

The *other* thing that's pretty bad about the McKinley situation is that he apparently picked up and brought back a young son from another state the day before this happened. I hope he wasn't around when this happened.

I could only imagine why he committed suicide, but it sometimes boils down to life goals. Don't ever consider suicide even if you are near your goals in life playing football as a career path with a family.

When someone commits suicide they often forget who will be at lost more... their family.
